Jurgen - Director

What motivated you to start Kreivo Health?

After 15 years of working for MNCs in APAC, EU, South-America, and MEA, during which I learned a lot and built a great network, I wanted to bring one of my passions, sound boarding for startups, to the next level. I have always found it so interesting to understand the value proposition that healthcare companies bring to patients/doctors and translate that in a pragmatic way to a successful tailor-made market access strategy. This is what motivated me to start Kreivo Health, and we now have several Europe and Asia-based clients who are eager to extend their collaboration with us.

Why did you decide to join Kreivo Health’s team?

The services provided by Kreivo Health are quite unique and truly fill a gap for companies looking to expand their regional coverage in the EU, US, or Asia Pacific and need support for this. In particular, Asia Pacific is a challenging landscape to navigate without specific local know-how. I saw joining Krevio Health as an exciting opportunity to truly help businesses with my Asia Pacific-specific knowledge and to really be at the forefront of technology in the medical space.

Can you tell us a bit more about yourself Jurgen?

Next to being the father of 2 amazing children, I am Director and Founder of Kreivo Health. The pandemic has made me stay in Europe for a while now but normally I like to travel between Europe and Asia.

Connecting Europe and Asia is also what we aim to do at Kreivo Health, especially in supporting and guiding healthcare companies in their global or regional expansion. With 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry in various different roles, I am really intrigued by the entrance of digital health, smart nutraceuticals, and precision medicine, and want to share my knowledge with our clients to bring their innovations to patients across the world.

Do you think opportunities exist for APAC-based health tech companies to expand into Europe?

Absolutely! In Europe, there is a definite need for innovative healthcare solutions to address specific healthcare needs i.e. CNS disorders, mental wellbeing, cancer, etc. The EU regulatory system is of course still in transition but with good validation data and the right partners, market entrance for APAC-base companies is definitely feasible.

What excites you about the current global market for health technologies?

Digital health, telehealth, and digital therapeutics are really taking off now and addressing existing health needs in a remarkable and exciting way! Acceptance of innovative digital health solutions is also improving, but of course, business and selling models aren’t always straightforward and successful for different markets. However, that’s where we can help at Kreivo Health and have several successful use cases that we would be happy to share.

Can you tell us more about yourself Ernestine?

I’m the Regional Project Manager for the Asia Pacific region at Krevio Health. A pharmacologist by training, I have worked with several MNCs in the past providing medico-marketing strategic support and support for their tactical plan rollouts across the region for a variety of therapeutic areas. Before joining Kreivo Health, I was Regional Medical Affairs Manager for Mundipharma HQ for their Ophthalmology and Respiratory portfolio.

How can Kreivo Health partner with health tech companies?

Kreivo Health provides an array of services - all the way from sourcing for commercial partners and providing liaison and connection, to understanding the Market and other landscape e.g. regulatory needs and reimbursement, to strategic planning and delivery, and even operational support or representation in the Asia Pacific region if needed. With our wide array of services, we often have an open discussion with our potential clients to tailor our services to their needs.

What opportunities do you think exist for health tech companies looking to expand their reach to APAC?

Asia Pacific is expanding very fast in the area of health tech and governments across the region are increasingly investing in technology in the medical space. We are also seeing an increase in acceptance by the medical community and other key stakeholders to start using things like medical AI and digital medicine to support the diagnosis and management of patients. With emerging innovative products from health tech companies, Asia Pacific provides a “hot bed” of opportunities for various types of initiatives, be it research collaborations or integration of innovative technology into clinical practice.
